The ability to master presentation is a vital skill in both academic and professional settings. Presentations are an opportunity to communicate ideas, influence opinions, and showcase one's knowledge and skills. Therefore, it is crucial to approach them with confidence and preparation. Group one presented a discussion on how to master a presentation, providing several interesting and useful tricks to achieve it. My favorites were the tips for boosting confidence when presenting anywhere, as nerves can sometimes get the best of you, especially those for connecting with the audience. I think Cynthia Cheung did a great job teaching us these different tricks. I took some of her advice, such as breathing exercises, reframing negative phrases into positive ones, not showing nerves even if you have them, asking for feedback or questions from the audience, and always remembering to treat them with respect. Maintaining eye contact and taking notes were also other useful tips....

Four groups were given different chapters from Public Speaking: The Evolving Art to use in this presentation. This book  covers  some  important  topics about public  speaking and  includes the foundations of public speaking, the process of developing and delivering your speech,  and  the  different  types of speeches for audiences. Each group had an  amazing  presentation, and this group was exceptional  in  teamwork. I enjoyed my experience in this group for  the time that I had. The first presentation was by Group 1 presented by: Cynthia Cheung, Carnell Davis, Alejandra Gonzales, Emily Gotay, Destiny Johnson, Aura Matthews, and David Valverde. Group 1’s presentation gave us a foundation  for  effectiveness of active listening and connection to the audience. The slideshow was concise and had visuals to keep the audience engaged. The way each member spoke when  they presented  was clea...

For starters group number one did an amazing job using media skills to open up and bring more attention towards their presentation and it is very well formatted and properly organized. This group did an exceptional job when it comes to keeping the audience engaged and interested in their presentation. They made it very easy to understand the sequence of each topic and very simple to follow in case the audience happens to get lost while listening to the presentation. Including images to bring the presentation to life made a big difference but in this particular presentation it lacks just a little bit of professionalism and lack of using their language effectively. From what I dissected in this presentation I would say it needs more research and more information to make strong points and this group needs work on their informative speaking to make the project more rich in detail and easier to persuade the audience. The presentation needs more life in the delivery...

During the first two weeks of our class, we were instructed to work with our groups and each cover specific sections from our class book, Public Speaking: The Evolving Art.  The book goes over the importance and fundamentals of public speaking as a whole, as well as how to deliver speeches and all its different types. For the presentations itself, each group was given their own chapters to cover and each member had their own topics to cover.      Staring off was Group 1, in charge of chapters 1-3 & 5. Group 1's members consisted of Alejandra Gonzalez, Aura Mathews, Carnell Davis, Cynthia Chang, David Valverde, Destiny Johnson, and Emily Gotay. Group 1's presentations introduced us to tips and ways to master presentations, as well as great advice as to how people may develop the confidence needed to present in front of an audience, something a lot of people struggle with. The presentation slides were all neat and straight to the point, allowing...

Each group member helped with creating a wonderful slideshow along with a verbal speech. It was an amazing experience.  The first presentation was by Group 1. Group 1’s presentation gave us an insight to the importance of active listening and connection to the audience.
